Retail Manager – Soft Furnishings

Based near Much Wenlock, Stanway Fabrics is a well known fabric & interiors retailer. We also provide associated services including curtain making & upholstery.

This position is full time, including alternate Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of the shopfloor including sales, stock management, customer project management, administration.
• Direction, development and support of 5 members of staff
• Use of imagination and experience to optimise the business’ efficiency and potential.

The following are essential to the position:

• Atleast two years’ experience in a managerial role, preferably in retail
• Excellent communication skills – with customers, staff, directors
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent self-motivation & presentation
• Good fitness – some heavy lifting required
• A knowledge of soft furnishings and interior design is advantageous but not essential.
